Hello, World

I suppose it was only a matter of time before I finally began to update this site. I'd been sitting on it for quite a long time now, and there seemed no reason not to finally get it up and running. I don't have any particular purpose for it yet, and no expectation that it will last particularly long. For now, I simply plan to use it as a dumping ground for various random posts and thoughts. For anyone who wanders through from the wilderness, welcome.
